The SETT Framework (Fillable).docx
- This document is to help the I.E.P. Team focus on the student and deliberate what/if AT is needed
- S, Student - what problems do they have with school work (what areas), what are their strengths and skills, and what are their interests
- E, Enivornment - what materials/equipment are available in their environment, what is the physical arrangement and are there any concerns, what is the instructional schedule, what supports are available to the student, what resources are available to the individuals helping the student
- T, Task - what does the students need to do, what activities take place in the environment, what are the critical elements of the activities, how could the activities be modified to accommodate the student's needs
- T, Tool - How could technology support the student's active participation, what strategies can be used to improve the students performance, what no- low- or high- tech options should be considered for this student in these environments performing those tasks

- There are two areas of needs listed, depending on the student more could be added
- Within each area there are three components with 3 - 5 elements
- Generic Recommendations, Specific Products & Sources, and Guide For Classroom Trail Use
- This document focuses on the what and how the methods and tools will be used

- This document is a screening tool to help the I.E.P. Team during the transition planning for the student
- There are 10 different areas to look at; Writing, Communication, Reading, Learning/Studying, Math, Recreation and Leisure, Activities of Daily Living, Mobility, Positioning and Seating, and Additional Items
- Each area has multiple yes and no general questions to circle
- Any no answers are a red flag and the student could encounter difficulties during the transition process
